'This Life' reunion episode unlikely
Saturday, July 16 2005, 13:40 UTC - by Daniel Kilkelly

A rumoured reunion episode of BBC Two drama This Life may not be going ahead after all.

The show, which followed five Law graduates who lived together in South London, lasted for two series, and originally aired in 1996. Recent reports claimed that the BBC were planning a special episode of the programme, to mark its tenth anniversary.

However, Jason Hughes, who played Warren, has told The Mirror, "I know the BBC are marking the 10th anniversary by repeating series one and two but the idea of making a fresh drama, with the original cast? Hmm - it's probably still some way off."

That is dated over a year ago though and on the imdb page for This Life: Ten Years On the status is described as 'Filming', which must mean something. The announcers on BBC2 are also constantly saying that This life will be returning for one new episode at Christmas.

I do hope that it happens, but only as long as the episode is not a disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised by the new episode of The Royal Family and I want to be able to say the same about this.

I hate people who pretend they're superior; it makes it much harder for those of us who really are.

It's complete bollocks. Filming finished over a month ago, the beeb confirmed that it was going ahead in September and before every repeat programme every week-night the voice-over keeps reminding us.
