Anna and Miles' history

We all know there is some form of 'history' between theses 2 characters, but does anyone know how serious it was, how long it was supposed to have lasted and when did it finish prior to the start of series 1?..
Can't wait until Jan 2nd!

I think it gets explained briefly in Series 1 - they met and slept together at a party held by Egg during their University days. Miles took her number but then never called her. Anyway that's what I can recall from memory but I may be wrong...
