Do you own Superman: The Animated Series on DVD?

I have it on DVD but I don't watch it very often...it's not very interesting in my opinion because it's basically a guest star of the week TV show. Every season has at least one fricking guest star in it.

So every season has at least one guest star? So three seasons that makes 3 guest stars. Oh yeah, that's a whole lot.

Superman gave birth to the DCAU.

I own all three volumes. I liked it. It was good. SPOILER

I admit it wasn't as good at the end when Darkseid brainwashes Superman and has him attack Earth. Then nobody (except Lois and Jimmy) trusts him ever again.

I have the first season, it's not bad but I much prefer Batman TAS and Justice League.

Well, the Jerk Store called, and they're running out of you.

reply

Wait until you get to volumes 2 and 3. A lot of what happens on Justice League is influenced by the arcs in Superman.

It's all part of the plan.

reply

I own all of them, as well as all the BTAS, JLU, and Batman Beyond DVDs. All worthwhile purchases, IMHO.

reply

Don't forget, that the Batman series did the same thing every season.

Slobberknocker!

This series is great! I grew up a Batman guy and refused to wtach this thinking it would be lame. MISTAKE! Fantastic show!

The only complain about the DVDs, would be the packaging of the DVD sets. Why couldn't they just make 3 Disc set with each containing 6 episodes instead of the 2nd Double Sided disc. Batman got a better DVD packaging than the other series. By the time the Batman Beyond and Justice League/ JL Unlimited DVD were released they just got lazy with the packaging. But nonetheless the series is great
