This show got really good once the writers got in the groove

I've been watching the entire series on DVD right now and it's around the start of Season 3 that the writers take the kid gloves off and really get into the groove of writing BIG Superman stories. I mean, "Apokolips...Now!", "Knight Time" (Superman pretends to be Batman!), and "New Kids in Town" (Superboy meets the Legion!), all happen within a few episodes of each other, not to mention the 3-part "World's Finest" Batman and Superman team-up. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm nearing the end...

Yeah, the entire New Gods storyline is fantastic and pretty much spans most of the series. I love it. And while yes, you are nearing the end, take comfort in knowing that Justice League continues several of Superman's stories.
