In stead of Lois saving them why did she not call Bruce Wayne since she knew his secret? I know him and Superman did not trust each other but he could have made a good hero to deal with Hardcastle

Because this wasn't Justice League. This was Superman's show. Crossovers didn't happen that much. That came later.
