I've been rewatching the DCAU shows. I still think this one is the best of the bunch. Better sense of continuity and more fluid animation than Batman: TAS, and Tim Daly was the superior Supes/Clark Kent voice actor over George Newbern in Justice League.

Not as triumphant as Batman, but it's still great. Fans whine and moan about Supes being too weak in the show, and to a degree it is kind of irksome, but it's only to keep the story sustainable. If Supes didn't have opposition every episode would be 5 minutes long. He could be hurt by some laser on minute, but punch out the villain half across the city the next.

It's a little shakey at the start, but they find their groove once they start introducing Jack Kirby's villains, and get a handle on how to do a Superman story. BTAS is probably better across the entire series, but Superman is excellent from about a third of the way into its run, all the way to the end. the weaker powers is in keeping with the original stories and the Fleischer cartoons, which allows more dramatic tension. I never liked Superman being powerful enough to move planets. It was never necessary and most writers found that to be a dead end.
