Did that episode and time like take place 3 months after Kara came to earth?

Just asking?

The one where Superman's brainwashed by Granny and Darkseid? That's the series finale, hard to say how long it is after Kara comes to Earth. Only about ten episodes pass between the two stories, so probably not much and I would say less than a year at least.

Thanks and why did they have thst as the final?

Not sure really why that ended up being the finale, I suppose WB and Bruce Timm wanted to put their total focus on Batman Beyond, along with new projects that became part of the DCAU like Static Shock and The Zeta Project. To their credit IMO, Timm and his team did a fine job deciding what would be the series finale as Superman had a climatic battle with what was really the biggest bad foe of his series, Darkseid. Eventually they decided in the later stages of finishing Batman Beyond to go ahead and do Justice League, a series that basically served as a continuation to both Batman and Superman with some prequel elements leading toward Beyond's future.

Some time seems to have passed between the Superman finale and premier of Justice League, as Superman's more or less regained the general public's trust, I'd say at least a year or two. Some elements of Justice League certainly were set up with the various Superman/Batman crossovers, how Supes met other heroes like Flash, Aquaman, Dr. Fate, and Steel, while Batman Beyond showed a two-part story glimpsing the distant future's Justice League Unlimited. Now Justice League and Unlimited is where some real meat in the mythos gets explored as Clark has to deal with a much more demanding life of his alias, new enemies like Cadmus and Doomsday, plus Darkseid and Lex at his most powerful.

If you only wish to follow Superman's story, I'd suggest these additions with TAS and JL(U):

"Girls' Night Out" from Batman the Animated Series Season 4: Watch after "Knight Time".
Superman Brainiac Attacks: Watch before the last three episodes.
2-Part "A League of Their Own" & "Toys in the Hood" from Static Shock Season 3: Watch before Justice League's 2-Part "Twilight".
2-Part "The Call" from Batman Beyond Season 3: Watch after JLU's series finale.

I have to disagree about Superman: Brainiac Attacks. It's not really part of the DCAU. Although it's the same animation style (to save time and money), it's not part of the Superman/JL/JLU continuity.

Plus, it's terrible.

I think the Invasion arc was just good Season Finale Material... and it just happened to be the series Finale...

None of the Shows have ever really gotten an advanced Notice about cancelation/renewal; as evidenced by JLU having Batman Beyond's Epilogue as a season Finale, (meant to have been the final episode of the DCAU) but then they got a reprieve and another 13 episodes
