Lee Marvin as Metallo?
I always thought Bruce Timm's design for him bore a striking resemblance to Lee Marvin. When I googled it I couldn't find any info. Any one know?
shareI'd say it's actually a homage to James Coburn. The character even has a very similar name to him (John Corben).
shareCanon Metallo is Typically named Corben (first name varies, but I think John was most common even before this series)
seeing as Lex's look was admittedly based on Telly Savalas I don't think we could rule out inspiration from Marvin Or Coburn
