Sure, it was implied he and Mala were lovers in his first appearance, but in a later episode in which Jax-Ur and Mala had taken over some planet, Mala had taken one of the natives as a lover. I don't know about you, but if I could help it, I wouldn't be thrilled if the last woman of my species was doing some alien guy. Jax-Ur didn't seem to care, though.
