Simply the best season!

This really must be the best season of this anime! The shots and dramatic atmosphere were as good as a movie from Ingmar Bregman or Michelangelo Antonioni.

The directors Takuya Igarashi, Kunihiko Ikuhara and Junichi Sato really gave their best and created some wonderful subtle moments( watch episode 194, 187 and 200 ).

The Three Lights are a class for its own, as cool as the Beatles.

Pure genius!

i agree 110% with you. i love it. im watching it right now (which gave me the idea to look it up here lol) i love the multilayer relationships, and i always cry in the last episode, when you ya 'usa-ko' very quietly and then she sees mamoru and cries!

we are living in a material world and i am a material girl

I agree with you both. This is by far the best season. I cried during the last 8 episodes.

There will come a day, somewhere far away in your arms I'll stay my only love.

Agree with you all! It hasa everything! Comedy up the butt, drama, sadnes, action, suspence! I loved it all, and it was really well drawn too. If you see the other seasons, youll see that some eps. were quikly drawn and had FILLER written all over them. Not that I don't still love the other eps. ITs just I loved stars cuz it looks like it was worked on the hardest and with the most care!

I love Stars so much too, but that shouldn't suggest I don't love all the other seasons! My least favourite was probably R, as it had a 'more of the same' kind of feel for me. I know it had Chibi Usa and such, but it wasn't as fresh for me as S or Stars.

I probably like Stars the most for a few reasons;

1. I love the Outer Senshi, and I wish they'd been in it more, but maybe their scarce appearances is what makes when they do appear so exciting. I was nearly in tears when Neptune and Uranus died towards the end of Stars, they have one last, touching conversatiopn and you get the theme song played gently over the top of it, I found this very moving!

2. I really like the Super Sailor Soldiers. I wasn't too crazy about how the inners got ther Super ability in the 4th season, as it was given to each of them, whereas in the manga they each found the ability within themselves to summon their respective Crystals and power up. I thought this was much more effective than 'Pegasus did it' as it seemed much more personal. As much as I'd have liked to see the Eternal Soldiers, I think it makes Sailor Moon seem much more significant as she is the only one with this ability, but the Super Soldiers are still very powered up.

3. The Sailor Starlights. They are such a great addition to the series! For me they had the same attractive qualities as the outer senshi did at first, they were on a mission, worked seperately and would do whatever was necessary to complete their task. The fact that Seiya had difficulty with this sometimes and was much more compassionate towards Sailor Moon and the soldiers made this an even more interesting dynamic in my opinion.

4. The new maturity of Usagi. I know she's still very young and young acting in this season, but the way she handles the fact that Mamoru doesn't respond to her letters, trying to live without him and dealing with Seiya's interest in her seems very mature, as she doesn't really seek the others' help on these subjects. This is a very deep topic and there's no way I could cover it in a few sentences, as there are so many more aspects to it than these, but this is just a small part to help get my point across.

Well, there we go, just some of the reasons I like Stars the best! I could go on for hours, but I think I've rambled on enough as it is, and probably bored the few people who actually bothered to read this!
