Best Season For Each Character!!!
For each of the main characters, in which seasons did you love and enjoy them best?
shareSabrina's best season is season 1. In the later seasons Sabrina's character becomes goofy, hyper, animated, somewhat-neurotic, while in season 1 she's way more mellow, low-key, & laid back.
Hilda's best season is probably 4 or 6. I say 4 or 6 because in 4 she had her own thing going on with the Clock shop, and in 6 she was an experienced business owner with the Coffeehouse, had met her soul mate, & had gotten married.
Zelda's best season is either 3 when she had dated Mr. Kraft (I think her character loosened up around this time?) or season 5 when she became a college professor (her character actually became conceited & dreadful in the following season, but that's a topic for another day).
Harvey's character more or less never really changed throughout the series. Harvey doesn't really have a best solo season, more like best moments scattered throughout the series here & there.
The same thing said for Harvey can be applied to Valerie & Libby too as well. They more or less stayed the same and had their great moments in the series here & there too as well.
Mr. Kraft's best season is probably season 3. He mellowed out when he started to date Zelda if I remember correctly?
Josh's best season was season 5. In season 4 he was the (for lack of much, much better words to use) male home-wrecker with absolutely no shame, and in season 6 he was the guy who didn't treat the girl right once he had finally won her (many times in season 6 I felt like Josh was being a douche towards Sabrina). His character was at it's best in season 5, and that's of course because the writers were trying to redeem him in our eyes so we'd all like the Josh x Sabrina pairing that they were going to do.
Morgan's best season was season 5. She was shallow & a little bitchy, but was still smart and had more layers to her beyond her exterior (like the Christmas episode in season 5 had showed).
Roxie's best season is either 6 or 7. She was just as bitchy towards Sabrina as Morgan was in season 5, but she got better in seasons 6-7.
Salem is probably the only character who consistently stayed at his absolute best throughout the whole series.
As the cast was changed so much throughout the series, I'll just talk about the characters who were there for a substantial amount of time. I'd say characters like Valerie, Libby, Miles etc. who appeared in more than one series didn't really have a particular season in which they were any different or at their "best". Therefore:
Sabrina - This ones difficult. I know a lot of people would say the earlier seasons and I agree somewhat, but I loved the zanier more comedic Sabrina of the later seasons. I hated how in Season 5 she was obsessed with ditching her old life and aunts etc. I hated how in Season 4 she messed Harvey about, and I hated in Season 7 that she was so determined to marry Aaron even if she didn't really care. I'd say her best is either Season 6 or Season 3.
Salem - Let's be honest, he was the best part of every season! The absolutely abhorrent Season 7 is only watchable thanks to him and Harvey. Speaking of which, I loved the interaction between these two so I'm gonna say his best is Season 6.
Hilda - She's one of my favourite characters and is a bright spot to any episode. I liked the clock shop story for her but preferred her working at the coffee house. Therefore, I'd say her best is either Season 5 or Season 6.
Zelda - Her storyline being a professor was the best for her I think, so I'd definitely say her best was Season 5.
Harvey - The only season in which he slightly annoyed me was some of Season 4, but I think that was just the writers trying to make us think Sabrina may go with Josh. I absolutely loved him in Season 7 though admitting he still loved Sabrina and helping her with her magic problems so, despite hating that season, I'm gonna say it was Harvey's best.
Josh - I'd agree that Season 5 is probably Josh's best. Season 4 had him being a bit seedy and not that likeable (obviously the writers wanted us to side with Harvey by the end) and so they did some major backtracking in Season 5 to make him somewhat likeable. He was okay in Season 6 but his douche nature kept showing up which annoyed me.
Roxie - This is a tough one because I liked how she started bitchy but then grew as a character. I'd say maybe Season 6 is her best season.
Morgan - Season 5 for the same reasons mentioned. She was an actual character, didn't speak in that ridiculous baby voice and I liked how brash she was. I agree that "Sabrina's Perfect Christmas" was a highlight for her.
Overall, it's hard to choose because I think each character has highlights and flaws within each season.
On a side note: it's nice to read your lengthy replies Takedi21! I haven't been on this board for a while and it's a shame it's so dead. It's always good to know there's another Sabrina fan who is willing to take the time out to discuss a topic in depth.
