Does anyone know what Frank's background was? We know he was an FBI profiler,
and he'd left the Bureau. Yet i'd like to find out if he for instance served in
th U.S. Army, was he always in law enforcecemet? I hope someone can help!! Many

He worked in Seattle homicide and then worked with the FBI in the BSU (presumably). Wouldn't surprise me if he was in the military as he is certainly no wimp when it comes to hand-to-hand combat or using a firearm.

We know that before Frank's mother died, she had a similar ability to his and what Jordan's gradually adapting, showing his psychic-like 'facility' is something he inherited. He has a younger brother, Tom, whose branch of the family tree we do see in a first season ep. There may be another brother, as Frank makes reference regarding his "brothers" in a third season ep where it's revealed how he nearly drowned once, leading me to wonder if the Millennium Group's demon-type hitman in Season 3 was an adopted brother of Frank and Tom's (that happened not to get mentioned in his mother's obit).
Anywho, we know Frank eventually had a falling out with his father that wasn't repaired until the Christmas before his passing, more of his past as an officer before moving to DC for ten years gets touched on in eps like Season 1's "The Thin White Line" and Season 2's "The Mikado".

The series was kind of vague when it came to Frank's Black accept for some minor details given throughout the the Three Seasons:
Season 1:
- Frank left the FBI due to mental strain, not sure what case he was working on.
- He had a Brother in Season 1 whose wife got kidnapped which led to a falling out between them.
- Frank has a long time Stalker who sends him pictures of his wife, Frank keeps the information from her. Stalker kidnaps her in the Season Finale.
- Frank and Catherine were high school sweethearts based on the 1st season series finale.
Season 2:
- Wife gets kidnapped and rescued, which leads to family turmoil causing Frank to seperate from his wife.
- Frank has a falling out with his Father over his Mother, who was manifesting the same abilities that Lara Means had and passed it down to Frank. Frank eventually makes a mends with his Father, there is a brother in that episode, however he is never identified.
- Jordan start to manifest abilities which are passed down from Frank.
This is what I know so far, I have not finished watching Season 3, so we no something about his background and given that he grew up in the Cold War era, Frank may have Military Service.
Kinda unrelated, but I always found it funny(and infuriatingly stupid writing) that Katherine very clearly was more bothered by being rescued then being kidnapped in the first place.
It's been a while since I went through the series, but I can't think of any other details.
