Untraceable

I'm sure this has been discussed to death here in the past, but today someone I knew was raving about a 2008 film they'd just seen called 'Untraceable' and was telling me what it was about... and I was shocked that it seems to be a direct copy of the Millennium episode "The Mikado"!!!

This HAS been discussed at some point, right? I noticed that IMDB and Wikipedia mention nothing (other than a debate in the Talk page for the movie on Wikipedia, over NOT mentioning the similarities in the article!) and find this rather odd.

Everything they told me about Untraceable was ringing bells for me as I was told the concept and plot: "a race to catch a serial killer who streams their murders live over the internet, and kills when the number of hits/views reaches a certain number".

I was wondering if the episode writer was involved in the movie, but that seems to not be the case?
