Partial OT: Fans of Lance's should check out...

There's a mini-series in two long parts that was recently produced based on The Wizard of Oz, it's called "The Witches of Oz" and stars Lance in the role of Dorothy Gale's Uncle Henry. Sadly he's only in the first part that culminates about an hour and a half in, but I find his performance very strong and scene-stealing in an otherwise hammy experience. What I find Lance captures so beautifully here is a kinda partially broken and frail man in the same respect Frank Black was (Henry seems like a clone of Frank!), yet also that very loving fatherly vibe with the wish for what's best regarding his little girl.

It's a very long story and I'd suggest taking a break after an hour and a half in, following the flashback of how Dorothy ended up in Oz, knowing Lance won't appear in the second part. The special effects are very 'made-for-TV' and low budget, so don't expect some huge theatrical scope going into it. If you choose to watch any further after the first part, that's your call, but the first part is totally worth watching for him IMHO!
