Now look here Wreck Records, your comments right there show that you have not watched all the cartoons of Popeye the sailor. There were ones made back when they were all in black and white that show Popeye handling Bluto without fighting. One for example is the one titled "Nearly Weds" in that one Bluto finds out Popeye has proposed to Olive and he does things to tear up popeye's tux. Then olive wants to marry Bluto because of how popeye comes to her house with that torn up tux and the way he is wearing a barrel around himself. Well when Bluto and Olive go to the Justice of the Peace to get married and after the justice of the peace reads off things that he says Bluto must do if he gets married it shows Bluto running out of there and olive walking off upset. Then when the camera is aimed at the Justice of the Peace he takes his beard off and it is popeye in a costume. So right there shows Popeye handling things without having to fight Bluto. You see the popeye cartoons show at a safe level what happens when two men are fighting over the same girlfriend. Then after all those cartoons there was the show in the 1980's titled Popeye and Son where Popeye and olive have gotten married and have a son and it shows Bluto found him another woman. Also if you look at the hand to hand fighting in the cartoons made from 1930 to 1987 and compare it to the violence, sloppy artwork, and the fact that even Billy Ghraham has stated on his website that these new cartoons that have been made in the last 14 years have the problems of the characters that are said to be the good guys on the shows are really doing things that only villians would do.

For example shows like Power Puff girls, Jonny Bravo, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and others that air on Cartoon network now have got the main characters doing bad things. One way I can prove this is on several episodes of that Jonny Bravo it shows him chasing after girls on the beach and getting them into positions where it looks like he is trying to have sex with them. Billy Ghraham has stated that with the way that shows sex to children who are under 16 that is why we have so many cases of under age sex now. Another example is those Power puff girls because on several episodes it shows the mayor promising them candy or cookies after doing some work for him. At times the delivery truck from the bakery or candy shop is caught in traffic and when those three ugly faced girls come back to the mayor's office and the candy or cookies are not on his desk and he walks in from having a meeting or being in the restroom those three girls beat him up. Now attacking the mayor is a federal offcence. Then there are times when the candy or cookies are there and right after those girls eat the snacks it shows them charging of the city hall and beating up innocent people who are walking along the road. Now if you compaire what those three girls do including on thier movie of beating up an elderly woman who was trying to be nice to them that is what is violent and has no moral guidence. You can compaire what those girls do to what Popeye had to deal with involving Bluto it shows right there those three girls are like 1000 times more dangerous for children under 16 to watch than letting a 3 year old child watch Popeye.

I have had exsperience with children's behavior because sevral of my older ken folk have young ones that range from less than a year old up to 14 years old. With what i have seen with the one who has the oldest child that happens to live just up the road from me i have noticed that when that child was between the ages of 6 and 12 he was watching these new cartoons that are so violent and had bad behavior problems. Now that he has quit watching those cartoons and watches the older shows that his dad who is my first cousin watched he is better behaved and is more obident. It shows right there how these new cartoons that have been made since 1993 that are not based on live movies and are made by younger generation producers are not as good as the older cartoons that were made from 1930 to 1987. That is one reason why you see so many of the older cartoons are coming out on DVDs now because these new cartoons that are airing on the tv networks are not even fit for adults to watch. Several parents in the area where i live say that when those power Puff girls had that movie come out into theatres in 2002 that when they went there they pulled their children out of that room of the theatre because of how violent those girls were and how those girls were doing evil things until that migit sized monkey villian showed up. One man even told me that he felt that it was safer to have a child watch all three R Rated Sylvester Stallone Rambo movies who was just between 5and 12 years old than to let that same child watch those three girls. So right there shows how careless these younger generation producers have gotten over how the behavior of the cartoon characters influences the behavior of children. One thing i can tell you is if i ever do end up with a child I would rather see that child watch the cartoons and primetime shows that I grew up with and the child's grandparents grew up with than to watch these bad shows that are on tv now.
