Anyone heard anything else about the movie they were considering making with the Rock as Race Bannon?

I also heard Zac Efron as Jonny. I hope both are rumors. I don't need some teenybopper shoved down my throat and as much as I like the Rock, he should not be Race Bannon. They are gonna *beep* this movie up.

Ditto. Efron is way to overrated and overhyped as an actor. Hollywood (especially Disney) really needs to stop shoving him down our throats.

I'm with you on the whole teenybopper thing, but I'm not sure I agree with you on the Rock not being relatively good as Race, but I do agree there'd be actors better suited for the role! The Rock (although i'm a fan) tends to play goofy and or overly sentimental action characters. Not sure that'd translate well into Race Bannon, better choice than Benton though.

I heard they had a live-action movie planned, but it didn't go through.

But dang, I really hope Effron's not in it. I can not imagine him at all going on the varios Quest adventures.

Efron is confirmed, unfortunately. That he is too old for the role is only one of the problems. And the movie is going to be a loose adaptation, reportedly not even keeping the title.

Does anyone have the IMDB PRO and can look up the info and see whats been planned?
