Looks like the Daily Show crew is afraid of being exposed by people filming their entire interviews. It's obvious they wanted to edit the interviews in a way to make the subject look more stupid.
Of course they edit their interviews to make people look stupid. This is a fake news comedy program that approaches politics from the left. When presented, in this case, with gay voters who support Trump that there must be something wrong with these people. Since these interviews are designed to make people laugh, they're going to edit them for that effect. I find it hard to believe that people didn't already know that the Daily Show and every other comedy program was doing this.
