I used to watch the daily show with Stewart every day for years. I watched Trevor Noah almost a year, and stopped watching a while ago when they were hating on Bernie voters so much and just sucking overall.

So I finally gave it another chance after a big break, and after the August 9th episode, holy *beep* All I can say is wow. It's one of the worst things I've ever watched. The audience didn't laugh at all, Trevor was even less funny than he used to be, and the show kept cutting to Jordan kleper and roywold jr making fun of Trevor's performance. They were making fun of the same things people hate on the show for. It's like they've accepted people don't like the show, and just don't care anymore.

Wtf happened to this show?

Good question. I hated how quickly it became a Clinton mouth-piece.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

It's gradually sinking to oblivion, where it belongs. Making fun of the ineptitude of the host seems at least an honorable way of riding into the sunset.

I was going to watch the Willmore show after it was announced he was canceled. I started watching the daily show for the first time in a long time and just kept shaking my head at how bad Trevor was. I also started wondering if the laugh track was on purpose. It was the same 2-3 second laugh tracks after every shoehorned unfunny joke that would start/stop on queue with Trevor's awkward delivery.

Anyways, made it like 15 minutes before I just couldn't anymore and turned the channel, not sticking around for the Willmore garbage either..

Part of me wished Stewart had stayed till the election was over but understand the presidential election was a good way for Noah and his team to work the kinks out especially with Trump in the race.

The show has always leaned left but Stewart would call out the Dems sometimes however lately the show just seems to go after the right.
