Samantha Bee's Full Frontal success makes Trevor Noah's Daily Show flaws

http://nypost.com/2016/02/12/samantha-bee-is-kicking-trevor-noahs-ass/

Sure, Bee has a week to work on her show, says Sara Stewart, "but her energy and feminist perspective make Full Frontal feel like something newer and better than the diminished Daily Show."

reply

It is awful and she is not funny at all.

reply

She needs to be given more time, for sure, but at least the first instalment wasn't all that great. The pieces were actually okay, but there is work to be done on her moderation.

That clickbait article was funny to me. It's like "Ha! We have one episode of this show and we declare it better than the daily show." They advertise is as breaking up the late night sausage fest and frame the article like trevor noah was just the instant pick for daily show succession. I find it hard to believe they skipped over this chick in favor of noah when not many people knew who he was prior (it's obvious too since he hasn't found his stride yet, that he was probably a last minute pick).

reply

Yeah, I don't think she would have worked as a host for the Daily Show. She was an okay correspondent, but I find her tiresome as a host. Different from Noah, but equally tiresome.

It's been a month since the last reply, but the original post gas become even more correct as time has passed.

Samantha Bee was my choice to replace Jon Stewart if they were going to pick someone who was already there but after watching her show.....I'm glad they didn't pick her.
