Wow, what HAPPENED to this show? :(

TDS with Jon Stewart and his team was the most pure genius, but this new version is like a bad high school version.

Mr Noah seems like a nice person but he isn't very funny. Not anywhere near funny as Jon Stewart, but then Stewart is a so amazing clever man.

This is so sad to see such a once brilliant of shows reduced to this low level. 😢

Your post contains some glaring typos. I have edited it for accuracy. You can thank me later. Here is what you MEANT to say:

TDS with Craig Kilborn and his team was the most pure genius, but the 21st century version is like a bad high school version.

Mr Stewart seems like a vicious, nasty person and he isn't very funny. Not anywhere near funny as Craig Kilborn, but then Kilborn is a so amazing clever man.

This is so sad to see such a once brilliant of shows reduced to this low level.

The only late night Craig that ever mattered was Ferguson.

Truth!

Craig Ferguson inherited The Late Late Show from Craig Kilborn. UNLIKE The Daily Show staff in 1999, they made sure to choose a good successor who would HONOR and continue the format Kilborn built.

Perhaps its time to lend Ferguson and his writing staff to The Daily Show.

I think you're missing my point. I'm well aware that Kilbourne hosted the Late, Late Show. He sucked at that too. The only thing he's ever hosted that was remotely watchable, was Talk Soup. He's an okay actor in a few films, but a terribly unfunny TV host.

Okay, I keep trying to give The Daily Show another chance... only I find it has lost its soul without Jon. Trevor needs to go back to stand up. He was excellent at that. As host of the daily show he just delivers lines that make him sound like an establishment tool toeing a party line. I know people have said that about Stewart but he wasn't party oriented he was sense oriented. Now the show is mean to everyone they disagree with. Before they never got mean with the teasing unless the person being teased was hurting someone with their decisions. I can't seem to make it through a segment before I can't watch any more. When they first chose Trevor Noah I thought he was an excellent choice based on his stand up and maybe he would be if he wasn't being used as a puppet.

Redacted Tonight is closer to the old Daily Show. It's a bit more rough and crass at times but Lee Camp and crew believe in what they are saying first and try to make it funny second.
