I loved that part of the movie, too.
You know how some soundtracks have short clips from the movie on them? I thought for SURE that they would have that scene where SID created the Symphony of Screams. So, of course, I was disappointed that they didn't.

But then I was also disappointed that there weren't any clips from the movie in there, too, and they were missing a few other songs that were in the film - most notably the Bee Gee's.

Sid was so awesome just because of how he carried himself. He was confident, funny, and violent. Beats the Terminator in style, the person, not the movie Terminator.

reply

love russell ... really love him as a cold cyberserial killer! Not the greatest movie -- but what a killer killer! Way to go Russ-o

Definately one of the best killers I've seen. Go Crowe.

reply

agreed...

great villain.

reply

Russell Crowe is a bada$$ in this movie, and I love his portrayal of Sid 6.7. Fairly idiosyncratic.....not the typical one-note performance that often occurs with those kinds of roles. He's violent, but also charismatic and funny.

"Love the suit."

i dont think he did a hand stand off the edge of a balcony. i think it was a bridge.

reply

Could have played the role as the Joker quite nicely.

reply

Yeah this character Sid 6.7 really introduced to Mr. Crowe. Love this character a lot. My advice if Crowe gets his career back in shape is to play another sadistic psycho killer because you are great at it, period...

Vengence is a living thing

reply

Yeah, I'd like to see him play a villian again sometime too.

reply

Well, you're getting your wish. He's the outlaw in 3:10 to Yuma. Also, to see him play a much more complex bad guy, look for Romper Stomper.

reply

nah the title for best pycho killer in a sci-fi goes to wesley snipes simon phoenix was who russell was tryin to imatate

reply

Russell Crowe (Sid), Wesley Snipes (Simon Pheonix) and Nicolas Cage (Castor Troy) were great villains with awesome sense of humors. What trips me out about Russel Crowe's Sid is that he had a lighter voice than his other recent movies. It's a trip how he changed his voice. Yeah, I would defenitely love to watch Russell Crowe play another villain. He did it pretty good.

reply

Crowe owned the entire film. Period.

I remember seeing this when it came out. This was the first time I'd seen Russell Crowe, he nailed this. Awesome villian.

I remember watching coming attractions on "E" one afternoon, and saw the preview for this flick, and saw Russell Crowe for the first time. I was like, whoa, who in the world is this? I was under age at the time, so snuck in to see Virtuosity, a couple of times too, I might add. Since then, Ive been a huge fan of Russell Crowe. In terms of favorite actors, I like only Ewan McGregor and Will Smith more.

Psycho killer No' 1 I've ever seen
was definitely Bijomaru Mogami played by Jô Odagiri in the movie Azumi.
Really sick character, great movie.

reply

For its release date, SID was the cooliest ever.
i'm gonna admit i never liked crow until i watched
this movie.
Now i can understand his devotion to his characters. He did an awesome job.

for me: SID 6.7 was amazing, just wish it was a better movie that he was in, for witty, sick, and cool mofos he's way up on my list to go along with:
Simon Phoenix
Patrick Bateman
Castor Troy
theres a few others that dont come to mind, but for me the best quote is
"Just because I'm carrying around the joy of killing your family inside me doesn't mean we can't be friends."

reply

maybe the coolest, but not the best I think Javier Bardem in 'No Country for Old Men' takes that cake. I do like Crowe in this film though, he's very good... which, it must be said, is not often my opinion.

reply

He could have been the coolest
