Training Day 2

I bougth this movie on vcd on a trip to India a few years back, but it was called Training Day 2.

The vcd seems official, and the packaging is good, but it says Training Day 2, and the same name comes up in the beginning of the movie as you can see in my screenshots.
I have searched the net far and wide without ever finding out about this thing untill now. I serched for the tagline, and found this movie, where all things fall into place. Everything is mentioned in the intro, every actor, director, producer.. everything, it just says Training Day instead.

This is if nothing else some good trivia to put up on the page. How has this gone by unnoticed? Are Paramount allowed to change the title like that, when Training Day was a WB release and all.. ?

Which of the four pictures looks fake to you? That all look like actual scenes from the movie to me.

And I agree - it sounds like a bootleg that someone just changed the name to make it sound more attractive.

Have they (the bootleggers responsible) no shame? This film predates Training Day by at least six years...

It's a bootleg then. VCD's half the time are bootlegs with dubbed in bootleg titles or credits/subtitles of course. The bootlegger probably labeled that to get sales attention following Denzel getting a notable Oscar after starring in (Training Day.)

i've never heard of a legit VCD. to the best of my knowledge they are all bootlegs.

especially if u got it from India! throughout most of Asia, it's extremely hard to find an official copy of anything digital, whether it's movies, music, video games, or any software.

Most of the VCDs bought in Hong Kong are legit, available in HMV etc. Its the only place I've seen them released legally. There are so many bootleg VCDs out there the movie industry has to release really cheap copies as well as the more expensive DVDs.
