Kobayashi..

Does anyone else think Kobayashi was the real soze?

reply

I've speculated about this for fun once, but no. Fun theory, though.

He could be, but I think that the body language in the car indicates that, of the two, Verbal is the senior in terms of status - he pauses to light a cigarette, for example, which he wouldn't have done if it had been Soze in the car. However, doesn't necessarily prove that Verbal was Soze, either, simply that he was higher up in the organisation than Kobayashi.

Everything about the way the ending was done pointed towards Verbal as Soze. It's amazing how stupid some of ya'll can be.

Of course it was - even someone as stupid as you seem to think I am can see that. Verbal is the obvious answer - which, given the way the film is set up, should be enough to make anyone at least consider the possibility that it is perhaps too obvious. There's more than enough in the film for other possibilities to exist, which is what the OP was asking.

So it's a fun theory when you're speculating about it, but if anyone else does, they're stupid. Got it.

reply

No. The real Soze looks like the image which was faxed to the police station.
