Movie in the cinema?

Could anyone tell me please what the movie was in the cinema when Victoria Grayson was applying the moustache to John McClane? I think the second movie (when he woke up) was Birds? But the first one seemed quite ethereal and mysterious, where the woman was talking about when she died.

I noticed that was the only Hitchcock title not mentioned on the theatre marquee.

Yes, "The Birds" was conspicuously absent from the theater marquee, another delicious narrative dissonance in a scenario always full of tricks and ambushes.

It's Vertigo alright, but actors are James Stewart and Kim Novak, not those you mentioned.
