This movie must have been changed at the last moment

I watched the trailer on the DVD last night and it has a bunch of scenes that aren't in the movie...like extra scenes with her mom and her family. Does anyone know the story behind this?

As someone here pointed out, there may be two different cuts of this movie.

Yes there is, True Crime is the title of the uncut version while Dangerous Kiss is the PG-13 cut.
