Andy and Sid

He was bound for better things because he was really inventive and bright but his dreams got shattered obviously when the toys came to life.

You don't know that. For all we know, Sid may have already completed his degree (after all he is a few years older than Andy) and is working as garbage man to pay off his dept while he seeks work in his ideal field.

someone's got to collect the rubbish - where would we be without rubbish collectors? sid is doing a useful job - we don't know how Andy is going to end up.

I'm sure they were aware of each other, but Sid's a few years older than Andy. I think Sid's supposed to be around 11, while Andy's 7 or 8, probably the same age as Sid's sister. At that age, when there's that many years between them, kids usually don't play with each other unless they're made to. I doubt Andy's mom would have encouraged friendship between them. I always got the feeling they were moving partly to get away from Sid. And Sid seems more like the loner type anyway.

I do see Andy and Hannah being friends though.

if that was the reason for the move then why not just have the police deal with it if i am right the 90's laws are the same as they are now you know moving is not always an answer to deal with your next door person's problems you have to either talk it out with them or get the law in solved not moving because if you move from a problem your teaching a child about fear and won't know how to deal with that when your on your own i mean lets say Andy is now Married right has a sone gets his toys back and gives them to his son and he has some one like Sid and what will he teach him "We have to move" "Why dad?" "Because of Him" you see Moving is not always a healthy way to deal with the community's problems.
