Most of us probably know that Pixar and Disney were worried about the film's potential at the box office and Steve Jobs was seriously thinking about selling Pixar (though he apparently changed his mind as the film neared completion.) But was this concern justified? I feel that Toy Story being the first entirely CGI film was enough to ensure its success based on novelty alone. Do you agree?

Not only did Disney release this film, but Pixar was approached by Disney to produce a computer-animated feature film in the first place. As such, Toy Story was pretty much considered a Disney film (or Disney associated film, I guess) by most people who reviewed it back when it came out —- and even now. Why? Because it technically is a Disney property. Needless to say, Disney & Pixar have been together since day one. Not good enough? Well, you gotta wonder why the Walt Disney logo has always been on the movie’s poster, let alone in the movie itself. Someone’s spreading that falsehood, and it ain’t me.
