That scene where the fan blew his hair off, does Spade really wear a Toupee all the time, or did he shave it off and wear hair just fr this movie?

Back then it was fake. but nowadays he wouldn't need the fake baldcap fx. LOL isnt it common knowledge nowadays that hes been wearing a wig for the last 10 years or so?
