What does 'schnikees' mean?

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does "schnikees" (if that's even how to spell it) refer to?

Is it innuendo of some kind or is it just a funny word?

Yeah, it was just an euphenism for sh*t.

Farley used the word as a kid as a replacement for sh*t; it's a totally made-up word. Picture an eight-year-old about to say holy sh*t and then having their parents walk in right as they get to "sh": "holy shhhhhhnikees". He said it once on the set in front of the director, and they kinda just let him bring it into the movie. It's in the bonus features.

And as we wind on down the road...

but why would anyone give a fuc if you said sh*t instead?

PS: Fuc the FCC!

and PS#2: How the hell has the FCC gotten to IMDb ??? Why can't you freely use any words you wish anywhere on the internet ???

reply

Well, believe it or not, sometimes it's funnier NOT to curse.

reply

agreed. even i sometimes still say 'shnikees'.

And as we wind on down the road...

reply

i still say that word, even non curse words can be funny.

The censorship on here has nothing to do with the FCC. IMDB has sponsors that they have to answer to. If that let us say whatever we want they may lose sponsorship dollars. As for why he says "schnikees" instead of the actual word, there are a couple reasons. Like some other people said, sometimes saying the actual word isn't as funny. Second, they needed to keep the rating at PG-13. This movie would have bombed if it had ended up getting an R. I'm actually surprised that no one brought that up yet.

And it wasn't like they barred sh*t anyway, because when Richard and him were warming up for one of their sales things, (or whatever they are called) he says it anyway.

Richard: "We don't take no..."
"Take no sh*t from anybody!"

Schnikees is a jibberish word used as an exclamation. There were curses in "Tommy Boy", but I guess they did not want to use too many. Schnikees was great because they did not have to shoot a scene twice with a cleaner word for the TV version.
