I have been watching this movie for what seems my whole life. I haven't seen in in like 5 years, I'm older and wiser now. I just realized the "pretty little pet" scene is basically Lenny from "Of Mice and Men". I gotta say this makes this scene the BEST scene in the movie for me.

Are there any other references that aren't so obvious?
