since I first saw this movie when it came out on vhs I've been decidedly obsessed with its opening number I Am The Body Beautiful. the movie soundtrack includes the version recorded by Salt 'N' Pepa but the original version featured int he film is sung by Bernardette Cooper. I've always wanted to hear Cooper's full version, it always seemed much more raw and bold in the movie but Salt 'N' Peppa is just as hot. I just wanted to say how much I love this song and how perfect it is as an opening number. as for the movie, I don't think the producers knew what they wanted to do, other than to dress Patrick Swayze in drag.

Yes. Yes! YES! "Body Beautiful" is a great song. I love it. Both versions, apparently.

Per your last sentence... I don't know about that. I wasn't there, but either way, it turned out perfectly. I love "To Wong Foo".
