Why Does He Shave?
PS at the beginning; is that him not catching all the hair that wouldn't be there with hormones? Nothing bad intended.

They are drag queens, not transgendered. Big difference. From what I understand (cis woman here), drag queens do this mainly as entertainment. They are men, they know they are men. They enjoy wearing women's clothing. I imagine some drag queens are trans.
Someone with more knowledge can correct me.
A drag queen is someone (man or woman/gay or straight) who dresses up for entertainment purposes. They are no different than an actor or someone who dons a costume and delivers singing telegrams. It is an esthetic, not a ‘lifestyle’
Transgendered (or transsexual) is someone who feels they are in the wrong body (ie: man who feels he is a woman). Many transgender males will dress in drag as they explore life on the other side.
Transvestite is someone who derives pleasure from dressing in clothing of the opposite sex. It’s a turn on.
So as to why Swayze was shaving, he is a drag queen, an entertainer, not transgendered – someone who is born into the wrong body.
