This movie was ahead of its time...
because it discussed the bias and prejudice associated with the gay/transgender community.
The movie has many standout performances and the late Robin Williams will be missed...
I wouldn't say ahead of its time so much as.. a remake.. but yeah, it was out ahead of alot of the issues.. And still is pretty relevant today. BUT.. its ahead of its time but slightly behind the film that its a loose remake of ("Priscilla Queen of the Desert"). It's not exactly the same.. but I'd say.. Terence Stamp is very similar to the Swayze character with Guy Pierce very similar to Leguizamo.. although I don't really find much comparison between Hugo Weaving's and Snipes' characters.
I'm going to watch Priscilla Queen of the Desert tonight.
