I was flipping through netflix one afternoon and randomly selected this movie to watch. After the brilliantly directed first 10 minutes of this film, I was definitely going to watch the entire film without breaks. The script is absolutely fantastic. The acting of Garcia, Buscemi, and Walken are all top notch. The best line is in the beginning when the old guy at the restaurant calls Jimmy the Saint the bitch's bastard. Seriously, if you havent seen this movie, you need to see it. I put it right up there with Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, etc.

I agree. Glad you found it, mate. Though I actually rate this higher than Dogs and Fiction. More heart.

Well let's not be crazy Midnight-Boy. This is one of my favorites, precisely because of the heart. But it has nowhere near the humor or inventiveness of either Dogs or Fiction. And I'm not even talking about the *beep* that Tarantino stole, robbed, ripped-off! However, I do love this movie and feel it is under-acknowledged, under-seen, under-watched. When movies are this satisfying, I try not to rate and compare them with others, instead I just let the sensation of the film linger as long as possible knowing that it is a movie I will watch many more times if I am blessed to live as long as I need to to enjoy all my favorites endlessly while still consuming the new greats that get made every year, somewhere...

the only thing i could do was be me and keep on keeping on, like a bird that flew...
