I think it is underrated as well, but IMDb isn't really about rating good movies what they should be rated. It's about what is popular among kids for the most part. The Lord of the Rings trilogy taking 3 of the top 20 slots of all time? They were good, but come on now. Plus I think the Return of the King was the weakest of the three and it's at #4 all-time. I can go on all day about LOTR, but that's not what this thread is about.
Basically, IMDb is the best movie site out there for information. However, the ratings are usually just a popularity contest for the current fad.
Personally, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead is one of my favorite movies, regardless of what the "Top 1000 voters," who from what I gather don't like anything made after 1970, think about it.
