Check this Link about a Tales From The Crypt movie that was made but never released called:
Fat Tuesday (aka Dead Easy)

http://www.geocities.com/imb210/movies.html

“Sadly this is a movie that we will never see. It was originally supposed to be the 2nd "Tales" movie, and it apparently was filmed, but the studio put the kibosh on it before it could be seen”
(from link)

If this is true then???

They should realise this as a fourth or a third instalment (ignoring Ritual because of similarities)

I have said before but, in this day and age good horror should not go to waste, with countless unnecessary remakes and sequels to undeserving movies.

But what else is new.

This is just one of those things if the fans shout loud enough something could happen, but I seriously doubt that they will and that's a real shame.

If anyone wishes to start a petition please let me and the other fans know.

P.S. I hear that Joel Silver is the man with completed version locked in a vault.

you are aware this movie did get a release in 1996 under the title bordello of blood TFTC 2nd movie, ritual was the 3rd and demon knight the 1st...

bordello of blood aka dead easy is about lilith the queen of vampires resurrected and runs a bordello for preacher , its hilarious !!!!!
not as good as demon knight but better than ritual

No, I'm afraid you are wrong about Bordello of Blood being that Sequel, there was another made but then abandoned (according to other sources). This may or may not be true but from this link(http://www.geocities.com/imb210/fattuesday.html) and others, there was a Voodoo movie (not Ritual); made but never released, it wasn’t a Vampire Movie
(The article states:
“About a month ago I attended a screenwriter’s network party, and ran into a writer, whom had written a plethora of Tales from the Crypt episodes, among other things. Anyway, he clued me in on the fact that there were actually three tales from the crypt films made. Aside from Demon Knight, and Bordello of Blood, a third film entitled Fat Tuesday was completed. Why hasn’t this film seen the light of day you ask? Well the script required a large African American cast in a tale about voodoo in New Orleans. During pre production there were huge debates on whether or not the film would be commercially viable. By the time principal photography commenced, the cast was entirely white. Joel Silver steped in, shortly after the film was completed, and claimed that he would be branded a racist if the film was ever shown, so he locked it in a vault, hoping that no one would either see or hear about it. If this information is true it would be interesting to obtain a screener of this sucker. That’s it for now”) Ain’t it cool news (3/4/99)

But feel free to dig further I accept that I could be wrong. Peter Jackson’s ‘The Frighteners’ was also suppose to be a Tales from The Crypt Movie but felt it would stand on it’s own merit (Check the Trivia on that movie)

As too other posts about updates all I have heard recently Is that seasons 6 & 7 are out soon, the Classic Tales from the Crypt (1972) & The Vault of Horror (1973) Are being released in two disc pack, Demon Knight & Bordello of Blood are also being re-released in a two disc pack, the new comics are out I think they came out last month, a compilation of the Classic Comics (Two or Three Volumes; available for a good price) are out, there is a audio book available.

No further news on New Movies or TV Shows, but If I find anything I might update on this thread, anyway the Cartoon is still not being released fully yet (still that Trio Thing),yet; with all the movies now out and being re-released, TV Show completed (1-7) and comics still on rise I would not be too surprised if they finished that too. Where we go from there, your guess is as good as mine…

Well good luck to you! I truly hope you are successful in getting it released as I am a big fan of TFtC. The formula is the perfect blend of comedy and horror and there should be more movies like it.

That has to be a lie, and if it is not, I can see why it took a year to get a final draft. Though that is not nearly as long as some other screenplays, just reading your reply alone hurt my head.

Granted, I am not great with English, but spelling "she" as "see" and many other common words....

I liked Demon Knight, was one of those shows I loved as a kid, especially seeing as how I was a big fan of Tales from the Crypt. I wish they would write a sequel to that movie.

If only.

Too similar to RITUAL? I enjoyed RITUAL personally.

I'd sign. Doubt it'll help release the film though. If it 'really' was made.

I hear that Joel Silver is the man with completed version locked in a vault.

Thought he'd be called a racist. I wonder what could've happened in the movie for him to think that. Were all the black characters literally just evil voodoo psychos in a stereotype background?

I heard about that "killer santa, killer wife" story adaptation. Haven't heard much, wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't happening. I don't see how a feature-length movie could be made anyway.

It really is a pity if these stories are true, as I would certainly open my wallet up to see another "Tales From The Crypt" movie.
As a previous poster had commented, it is the perfect blend of comedy & horror.
I saw both of the films at the theater, and although "Demon Knight" was a better film then "Bordello", they were both far better then the crap they pass off as horror today.
If "Fat Tuesday" exsists, and Hollywood is busy releasing the pathetic remakes and stupid "Part 2's"... Shame on them!
And we shpuld all stop paying to see them (at least I don't).
Thank God for "Masters Of Horror".
