I really liked this movie, but....

the are a couple of questions I have.

Was Breaker always running from the Collector? If so, there is no way the blood he got from his fellow soldier in WWI would have lasted all the way to the mid 90's. Where was he getting new blood at? Could just cut himself and put more into the key?

Great movie.

Breaker had to run -- if he stayed in one place then the Collector could just raise army after army of demons and possess everybody and spread destruction and death on a grand scale -- in a way Breaker's keeping humanity safe by running.

And he said the blood gets used and you have to refill it with your own blood -- the guy Breaker got it from refilled his from a neck wound...also you get the feeling that you don't use the blood unless you have to -- killing the demons by shooting them in the eyes seems to work better than barricading a house.

Boy, I bet it's a pain in the ass to have to save the known universe with a vial of blood and some tattoos. ;-)

Remember this is a supernatural item so real life rules don't apply. I think the blood last until it is time to pass it on. I did notice that there was only a small bit left right before he passed it on the Jeryline and instead of putting directly on the window like she asked, he poured the last bit on the back of his hand and she wiped it off with her fingers and sealed the window. That's how he knew he was supposed to pass the key to her...and that he would soon be dead.

Brayker probably didn't have to use the key as often as he did when he came across the people at the hotel. He knew that was going to likely be his final showdown and that he'd be re-filling the key with his own blood soon enough, so that's why he was so willing to use what was in the key. Before that, as I said, he likely was continuously ahead of the collector and didn't have to use the key. We know that this was the first time that the collector had summoned the 'low level' demons, because even Brayker didn't recognize them, and there wouldn't have been any other reason to use the blood in the key.
