Streetfighter IV Anime + new deleted scene SFII Anime?

Hey guys, i just saw the trailer of the new upcoming SF4 anime and i had to share it with you guys because it looks really good! I think the trailer just came out like today or so. If you ask me this will finally be a worthy sequel to the SF2 anime, since the story of SF4 will take place between SF2 and SF3. The anime will be included when you buy the game. The endings in the game will also be anime style like this movie, nice!

Here's the link:

Or watch it on Youtube:

Notice the music when Ryu fights Gouki is Ryu's theme from SF2! (the game).

Also i found this japanse trailer of the SF2 anime, and at 1:19 you can see Sagat picking up Ryu to throw him, and i'm pretty sure this scene wasn't even included in the uncut japanese version of this movie, in the movie you only see Sagat throwing him, but not picking him up, but correct me if i'm wrong.

Anyway, i really can't wait till SF4 comes out, gouki AND Gouken will be secret characters in the game, or so i heard from a very reliable source.
So i say screw that upcoming live action movie about Chun-Li!

Hey Ramon, good find!
I must say I didn't even know that the sf4 game will include an anime, that's great! Even though it's highly doubtable that this anime will make it into the pal version of the game... :-/
What's the runtime?

I like the artwork, and also the score. However, the fighting choreo is maybe a bit too "extreme" for me. I liked that in the sf2 anime they fought in a way realistically and then when someone pulled a special move it was a big thing! Now they seem to fly around all the time, like in the alpha movie or in the sf2V series. To few martial arts techniques in there for my taste, but let's wait and see. Story is still more important, and it looks like we will get plenty of that! :-)))

I also checked the other link, and I am sure you are right! I can't remember the scene were Sagat tries to grab Ryu, it was in no version before! Man, this movie is still such a mystery. Even more than 10 years later new scenes keep popping up, first those alternate ending and Chun-Li's fireball from that strange japan interactive game, now this. I wonder how many more there are. Looking through the archive of the making of the movie would be so cool, I bet there are many more unused sequences which would give us hardcore fans an extacy!

c you around!

David

Heya,

I think the anime will be included in the pal version :) , because they really want to make sf4 big again, like sf2 back in the days, there will be a lot of commercials and tournaments will come. There will even be another comic series about it by Udon, and there will be one about sf3. They'll even sell sf4 with an arcade stick included. But Capcom is still keeping it all a bit secret.
But i'll probably buy an import version of the game anyway since ps3 plays every region when it comes to games and i really can't wait, and the pal version is probably not arcade perfect.
I don't know about the runtime.

I know what you mean about the fighting choreo, in sf2 i heard they used martial arts experts to make it more realistically, now it's more like dbz and stuff. But i also like it cuz now it's more like they fight in the games.

Btw i'm still looking for that game Streetfighter 2 the interactive movie for Playstation. :P So if anyone knows where to download a torrent file or something, please let me know.

Also i believe there's a subbed version of that sf4 anime trailer on youtube now.

There won't be a SF anime like "the animated movie". This was so near of perfection that hardly will be something that equals this.

I really hope that when they Release "SFII MOVIE" in bluray they will place all deleted scenes and interviews and all mysterious stuff about this anime in a bonus material section.

About SF4 anime:
The soundtrack is really good, I have to agree with you. On the other hand I really don't like the art neither the fights (also why would ken stop Ryu from performing a Hadouken?). Anyway it is a good effort, specially if they make anime scenes for each character "selection", "ending" and "between" fights.

I think I noticed another detail in the trailer that didn't make it into the final movie. After Ryu does his Sho-Ryu-Ken, he is shown longer spinning while still mid air. In the final movie they cut immediatly, changing to Sagat bleeding. But here, we see him spinning for some more frames. It's around 1:45 in Ramon's link.
But I am NOT sure.

Also, in the Japanese trailer, Sagat grabs Ryu during their fight and starts kneeing him into the midsection a few times before doing the shoulder throw, but it was cut for some reason.

Hey you, sh** fu**er!
