Ryu vs Liu Kang

Short Range:
Ryu: Joudan Sokutou Geri -- A powerful and moderately damaging side kick that shoves an opponent away or bounce an opponent off of an arena wall with great force.
Liu Kang: Cartwheel Kick -- As the name implies, Liu Kang does a cartwheel that kicks his opponent to the ground. Not his most powerful move, and can be easily blocked and/or dodged.
Edge: Joudan Sokutou Geri

Mid Range:
Ryu: Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku -- Hurricane kick, damaging but easily avoided, leaves Ryu vulnerable to counterattack if opponent ducks.
Liu Kang: Flying Kick -- Liu Kang flies across the screen and connects with a kick to the opponent's torso, knocking them backwards. Easy to dodge, moderately easy to block from a distance, more difficult to block up close.
Edge: Flying Kick

Long Range:
Ryu: Hadoken -- Powerful fireball, but slow and easy to avoid from a distance.
Liu Kang: Dragon Fire -- Not as powerful as the Hadouken, but faster and harder to dodge, connection is almost guaranteed.
Edge: Dragon Fire

Special:
Ryu: Shoryuken -- An uppercut punch that hits once with lots of power, very difficult to block, but still damaging even if blocked. Ryu is invincible while on the uppercut's rise, but completely vulnerable to counterattack on the descent.
Liu Kang: Bicycle Kick -- Fast and good for multiple hits, easy to catch an opponent off guard, hard to counterattack, but also easy to block.
Edge: Bicycle Kick

Fiercest Fighter: Liu Kang
