Rickman pauses...

Every time he spoke, he had all these big pauses in his speech, which I guess were supposed to add gravitas to his character but to me it kept looking like he was trying to suppress a sneeze. This was distracting to the storyline.

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

I agree about Morrissey, I did like him in the role...I think it's just Alan Rickman's style, I've seen him like this in other movies. Personally I found him quite attractive and didn't get how she picked Willoughby over him at first. The other Willoughby, yeah he's cute, not so much Wise IMO...I will watch this movie solely for Rickman.

I found Rickman very attractive as Brandon too, and I also thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Many of us here have discussed his portrayal at great length, among many other pleasant topics regarding this wonderful film. Thank you for joining the discussion.

That's pretty much just his thing are there any movies in which he doesn't take a timeout between words?

hahaha that made me laugh! I personally like his style and thought he was the best part of this ridiculous movie but you're definitely entitled to think what you want of it.
