The Seven Shadows and The Rainbow Crystals

Why didn't the Rainbow Crystals go back inside the human bodies of the Seven Shadows when Sailor Moon used her wand to heal them? I guess because Sailor Moon needed them all to unlock more secrets and become The Moon Princess again, but it's just a thought.

I think Sailor Moon restored them to a human state free of posession by the Seven Shadows, so the Rainbow Crystal no longer belonged inside them.
