Alan and Ann (yes, the American dub) question

So, the last time I watched the American version, I was probably around 12, so I remember very little about specifics. I'm currently watching the original (oh so much better lol) but something occurred to me. I know a LOT of relationships got changed in USA, was theirs one of them? They're sibling humans, but lovers as aliens, but I cannot recall if this was the double relationship in the American dub. I almost want to say that they played the sibling role through both "lives," but I don't remember. It's just a random curiosity, so if anyone has the answer, it is greatly appreciated. ^_^

I remember them always being siblings.

But then, I've always found the whole "Doom Tree" thing to be so laughable that when I think about it, it's only as a joke. So my memory may not be the most reliable.

Lol, my memory is the same - especially with that arc. The only specific thing I remembered from them was "Alan's Flute," lol. Which, come to find out is apparently a different tune in the original version. Not insanely, but still deviates. What the heck was the point in changing that? America.

I just love the American changes to relationships that they felt were necessary, but just made things SUPER awkward. I know they took out any serious romantic scenes between Alan and Ann and the same with Amara and Michelle, and pushed the whole "brother/sister and cousins," thing, but that only made some of the interactions even more awkward. I was super confused when Neptune and Uranus showed up and they had some seriously intimate eye contact and hand touching scenes and I was like, "Um...do cousins behave differently in Japan or something...cause they seem awfully close..." Then I found out about the original and it all made sense! Lol. Oh America smh

They were a couple, and only pretended to be brother and sister. There was jealousy and stuff. And that was even in the dub.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler.

Yes, I remember too in the dub they were a couple who pretended to be brother and sister humans. Alan developed a crush on Serena and Ann was very jealous. I am not 100% sure I remember correctly, but I believe Ann also had a crush on Darien which created some jealousy from Alan, as well as from Serena.

To make things even more twisted, Ann and Alan in their true alien forms ARE actually siblings. If you re-watch the episodes you'll see what I mean...
