Finally! A trailer! And my first impression is positive: not bad, not bad at all. I don't particularly like the new CGI looks of the modern animes (compared to the great, classic hand drawn animation), but this seems good. I'm looking forward to it in 30 days.
Again, though, they (the senshi) are so thin and skinny in this it looks almost bizarre. Too bad they designed them that way. Compared to this, the "anorexia complaints" in the original anime seem almost silly.
Yeah the character design kind of bugs me I think the rest of the girls wear it much better than Usagi though because it looks really weird on her with her hair as big as it is. All Shojo anime seems to look like this now a days they draw the characters like bean poles. It kind of reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club or xxxHOLIC. I thought the girls look very age appropriate in the early episodes of the original she was kind of short and stocky looking in her uniform but still curvy and visually appealing. The thing that concerns me the most about this new anime is that we might be getting a watered down Usagi in this reboot. I remember I only read very little of the manga and I don't remember much so I don't know how it compares but she doesn't seem to have the quirkiness or personality that she had in the original anime in her face anyway. At the very least she will be played still by Kotono Mitsuishi so she wont be unrecognizable.

I was a little underwhelmed, tbh. I kinda wanted to see some footage of the girls in action. I guess maybe next time.

My thoughts exactly, I made a post about this too.....
I am not a fan of the new animation, but I can live with if it means more SM
I believe Toei might be trying to screw up production because they only want to invest in one season due to the whole revival movement.
Toei really struck gold with people of all ages during 1992 and the original anime series after adding their own personal spin on the series, they know what they are doing.
They're sticking to the books.
