Could the Sailor Soldiers win WITHOUT Sailor Moon?

We know that all the Sailor Scouts/Soldiers/Senshi were impressive in their own right. But, at the end of the day, it's Sailor Moon/Princess Serenity/Neo Queen Serenity who saves the day in the most efficient way possible. Rather than kill, she manages to heal her enemies.

So, let's remove the Moon Kingdom from the equation. Could the team funtion without their princess? Could they have defeated the Negaverse, the Negamoon, Witches 5, ect? Would any of them even be willing to kill their enemies rather than turn them good?

The Sailor Starlights managed just fine but could our girls do the same?

For those that criticize the show, I know that there are people out there would probably turn this question around and say "Can Sailor Moon win WITHOUT the Sailor Soldiers?". To answer your question, I really can't think of a single episode where the Sailor Scouts have won a single fight without the help of Sailor Moon. Even when Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus were acting all snooty in the beginning and weren't willing to work with the Inner Senshi, they couldn't win their own battles without the presence of Sailor Moon.

Even when there are episodes where Sailor Moon is capable to win fights on her own, there are other cases where she does need help from her friends especially Tuxedo Mask.  For instance, when she was trying to fight off Queen Beryl as the moon princess and she said "I need your help, my friends. I cannot do this on my own."

LoL!! Yeah, the basic formula of the show does tend to be:

1.) Sailor Moon can't beat a monster alone.
2.) Sailor Soldiers fight monster, weakening it enough for...
3.) ...Sailor Moon to do a final attack.

But, I can recall a few episodes where the Inner Senshi (Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus) handled threats on their own. It's rare but we see their combined attacks can destroy monsters just as well as a "Moon Tiara," "Moon Scepter," "Silver Crystal," ect.

Likewise, Sailor V acted on her own for roughly a year before joining the team so she can handle monsters on her own. Sailor Uranus and Neptune, as well.

I think they could funtion without their Moon Princess but they'd do A LOT more killing than healing. Sailor Moon's strategy was always to heal the enemy without a single death involved. Without her, the Sailor Soldiers would be forced to kill the holders of the Rainbow Crystals since turning them back wouldn't be an option. (Raye would have to kill her own grandfather :( )

I could see them getting as far as Sailor Moon S. Once Pharaoh 90 appeared, their only hope would be turning Sailor Venus or Sailor Saturn into a "Super Sailor Moon" like warrior. Otherwise, they'd be doomed.

Very true. Just like in that one episode, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus were so eager to kill Mistress 9, but Sailor Moon wouldn't let them because it would really mean killing Sailor Saturn/Hotaru.

I thought Pharaoh 90 was only as strong as he was because he had absorbed the Holy Grail? I think that if Pharaoh 90 didn't get his hands on the Holy Grail that the Outers could defeat Pharaoh 90. The Outers are used to fighting/protecting the outer solar system from powerful threats similar to Pharaoh 90 anyway in their past lives, so I don't see why it would be a problem to defeat him in the present day.

A Pharaoh 90 with the power of the Holy Grail however? Yeah, they're screwed :/ I do think that perhaps Sailor Saturn herself could defeat that powerful version of Pharaoh 90 though.

I could have sworn there was an episode or two in S where they defeat a monster without Sailor Moon, through the help of Neptune and Uranus.

Could they go the whole series without her though? Of course not!

I was just about to comment on that exact same scene. I think it's when they meet Uranus and Neptune for the first time and Serena can't transform or something like that and the other scouts are having trouble beating the monster. So Uranus and Neptune both easily kill it with their attacks.

Sailor Jupiter also defeated a monster on her own in S.
