Gene Hackman WHY?
Why did he do this awful film? Sharon Stone and DiCaprio... How did a great actor like mr. Hackman do a film with these idiots.

Because it was a role only Gene Hackman could do; as Herod, he is one of the all-time scariest movie villains, even if you don't consider this a great film.

What exactly is your beef with Sharon Stone and Leo DiCaprio?? Leo's not one of my favorite actors but I certainly wouldnt go as far as callin him an idiot. Someone might refer to you and your post as an idiot and idiotic but does that make it so?

IMO Hackman is one of the best actors around. I love this movie, and Hackman is terrific in it.
He did it because he liked the script, otherwise he wouldn't have done it.
His near flawless delivery on his monologues makes him one of the best.
