someone who knows this movie very well or who just saw it!!

ok...so a friend of mine was talking about this movie knocked up and they show completely everything while the lady is giving birth...it reminded me of part of a movie...i'm not sure if it's this movie bc i haven't seen it in a while...

now here is the scene i have in my head: main man in movie (in this case it would have been hugh grant although i for some reason picture richard gere) so he has landed somehow in this country...i can't remember if he lost his memory or maybe he was in a plan crash, or maybe he just drove somewhere not knowing where...i don't know... but this place was all desert-ish with sand and such...and these few children go up to him (and they don't speak english) so they're like balafjheo noienrnajno nogenosjn goe ntj and then hugh grant (or whoever it is) is like "ya i'll follow u know bc u need my help" and he goes in to this tent where the lady is screaming in pain bc she has to now deliver her baby...so hugh grant (or whoever) delivers the baby and it's all happy, although they show the entire thing and the baby coming out and stuff...i think it was a boy or something? and then the movie ended

does this sound familiar at all?????? and if it's not from this movie does anyone know where it's from?!?!?!!? it's making me so mad that i don't rememberrrr...please help :)
