This plan was just stupid. Walken seeks for an accidental person to assassinate a politician... - why he didn't place an announcement in newspaper? This doesn't mean that this couldn't happen in reality. But if it would, it wouldn't become a topic for thriller movie, but for an episode of documentary show "What were you thinking".

shareIt was a stupid plan, but I think it could easily work. They've got him on video being a Nervous Ned all over the hotel. They've got a lot of people involved who don't want to be known to be involved. Basically it's like laundering money. Get the patsy to take the fall and everyone who is in the conspiracy gets away unscathed. Really, the idea isn't all that new. There is the theory that something similar happened in the JFK assassination.
