Big plot flaw?
After Depp kills Walken, he lets his guard down and hugs his daughter in relief. What about the other kidnapper. Yes she's been incapacitated but Depp didn't have a clue of that.

shareHe was relief to reunite with her. His emotions got the best of him. I thought that was fairly obvious. Where's the flaw?
Gene's inner thoughts:
1. Maybe the cops got her.
2. She's inside looking for her partner.
3. She's not there, she has to be somewhere else so... grab kid and be really happy she's alive, safe and with you.
4. She ran away
a. She found out that their cover was blown and she wanted to get away.
b. Cops were around and no calls back from Smith.
The only thing I think was a problem with the film is that fact that it looked stale. Even the action wasn't that good. Possibly the creators only put much of their attention on that real time thing. They could've played with the whole scene where the assasination occured with static and still shots like Psycho's shower scene. Or something other that what it look to me. A straight narrative plot.
Maybe in your next life, you'll believe the Zodiac when it tells you to cut the red wire.
When he hugged his daughter, the woman kidanpper saw them threw a hole in the window and was about to shoot them. The big black guy Huey took off his fake leg and beat her down. Sounds funny but its what happens
shareI know that's what happened. This is my point. Depp dind't do anytihng himself to stop her. He just killed one bad guy and somehow totally forgot there was another kidnapper who was very possibly still afoot!
shareFrom the very start you can see Depp's character never wanted to be away with his daughter. He was obviously very happy she's alive despite of the time and what he's been through. I dont see why this movie is a big plot flaw? I really don't see why people would say such? Everything in the movie was very good and we never really get to know whats going to happen. I think movies need to be unexpected and I find this movie that and undeniably clever. I even find this movie only a bit short but I was so entertained.
