Newark refused for any scenes to be shot within city limits.

Maybe because it makes the entire city look bad. Or maybe Mayor Sharpe James Didn't get a piece of the action on it.

I think it is Newark because Jersey City, Orange, Newark looks just like brooklyn, but I dont exactly know where it was shot at because I've seen few NY MTA Buses at the Guy's funeral before Tiny's mom hit Kyle. And those projects where Jason almost got shot by Kyle's alfro friend looks just like Red Hook Projects on "Straight Outta Brooklyn 1991" Movie.

It was shot in the Greenpoint and Williamsburg sections of Brooklyn.
