It's been a number of years since I've seen Mr Holland's Opus and can't remember if it was mentioned at all in the film.
Was Cole's hearing loss due to Holland and his wife putting headphones on her belly during the pregnancy?

I really have to ask you this... Do we know each other? The reason I ask is because yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the "Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire" and I posted a remembrance on my fb page about it. Sadly, very few people know of the fire and even less remember hearing of it. Or is it just an entertaining coincidence that you have that signature and happened to reply to my Q? Whatever it is, it's really, very cool...
